Whittier’s Transitional Care Units have both earned a U.S. News “Best” Rating!
U.S. News & World Report released its new ratings for the best nursing homes in 2019-20 on Tuesday. In Massachusetts, only 38 homes received the highest overall rating of five for short term rehab care, and two of them were Whittier Westborough Transitional Care Unit and Whittier Bradford Transitional Care Unit.
Homes were given an overall rating, a rating for short-term rehabilitation care and a new rating this year that evaluates long-term care. The overall ratings for nursing homes in 2019-20 are based exclusively on the short-term and long-term care ratings.
A strong emphasis was placed on staffing in methodology to compile the “U.S. News Best Nursing Home” ranking for 2019-20. Staffing levels are strongly associated with quality and safety.
Whittier’s high ratings are testament to the dedication of our staff and management and the ratings are proof of our organization-wide commitment to provide safe, high-quality care, treatment and services on an ongoing basis.
