Whittier Rehabilition Hospital-Westborough is currently undergoing a total renovation with major upgrades and/or additions being made to various areas throughout the hospital: the Aquatic Therapy Department, Pediatric Therapy, Gym and Treatment area for our new Neuro Day Rehab Program, the Cafeteria, our outside Bistro area, and Whittier Way.
Whittier Way, our community re-entry program that includes a grocery store, fully operational ATM, a mock movie theatre and a full sized SUV automobile, just received delivery of a brand new 5-passenger Chevy Equinox crossover SUV. The new vehicle replaces the old Ford Taurus that was used with the patients along Whittier Way.
As you can see from the photos, it took a lot of planning and effort to get the vehicle safely through our doors, but the vehicle is now inside and will be ready for our rehab patients as soon as Whittier Way reopens in the beginning of July. Stay tuned for further updates!
