Hi, I’m Bob Iannaco, administrator at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Bradford. I want to welcome you, and would like to introduce you to our services.
Whittier offers all levels of post-acute inpatient and outpatient rehab services tailored to your individual patient needs. We are known for exceptional care developed around the individual needs of each patient. Our interdisciplinary team approach supports excellent outcomes.
Our staff are provided the necessary skills to care for medically complex and critically ill patients in a rehabilitative setting.
At Whittier, we offer three levels of post-acute rehabilitative care. Our Long Term Acute Care Hospital, or LTACH, often takes patients directly from the ICU. These patients require complex critical care in a rehabilitative setting, and often require a longer length of stay before going home.
Our Doctors are onsite seven days a week and we provide medical, telehealth coverage overnight until 7 am. Thus, we offer 24/7 medical staff coverage to meet all of our patient’s needs.
Our Inpatient Acute Rehab Facility, or IRF, specializes in individuals who require intensive acute rehabilitation. Our focus is on improving functional mobility and activities of daily living to increase our patient’s level of independence.
We have a simulated apartment that allows Whittier therapists to assist patients while they practice meal prep, washing dishes and laundry, all of which are needed for a successful return to daily living at home.
Our third level of care is our Transitional Care Unit, or TCU, which offers short-term rehabilitative care for those patients that require additional time to transition home after a hospital stay. We are proud to say that our TCU has been deemed a five star facility by the Department of Public Health.
Our biggest asset is our people. We are family owned and our executive leadership supports patient-centered care by empowering our employees to share their creative solutions to identify barriers for safe discharges home.
It is important to know that you always have choices in your healthcare options. At Whittier, our goal is to ensure that patients have the freedom to make the choices that are important to them and their families.
If you think Whittier is the right place for you, please contact your case manager or call our admissions team.
