We are proud to announce that we were just awarded accreditation for another 3-year period for successfully demonstrating compliance with Joint Commission standards during an on-site survey.
The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) surveys over 22,000 facilities in the U.S. and a full 3-year accreditation is their highest acknowledgement. This accreditation verifies that Oak Knoll meets the most rigorous quality and safety standards of care for our residents and patients, as well as the community.
Ryan Barry, Administrator at Oak Knoll Healthcare Center said: “While in the survey process, there is a lot of pressure on the facility, but particularly the staff. It is an opportunity for the staff to show the surveyors how well they are doing through hard work and following the policies set in place, but there is always the fear that it might not be what is perceived by the surveyors. Our staff did a great job through this survey in trusting in themselves, and the process and policies they follow on an everyday basis. They stepped up to show The Joint Commission just how well we are doing.”

The Gold Seal of Approval
The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval is the highest award an organization can receive. It is considered the gold standard in the healthcare industry. To receive the accreditation/certification, organizations must undergo a rigorous evaluation process.

An accreditation award verifies that a healthcare provider is committed to the most rigorous quality and safety standards of care for their residents, patients and communities, and helps strengthen the organization’s delivery of care. When The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval is displayed, residents and patients can feel confident that the healthcare organization that bears this seal has undergone the lengthy process of accreditation or certification.
