This program will help one’s understanding of palliative care, including clarifying myths and misconceptions, importance of patient centered care, communication with patients and families and the need for professional self-care when caring for others with serious illness or at end of life. The program will consist of viewing the documentary End Game followed by a group discussion facilitated by Mary Crowe, LICSW, ACHP-SW, C.D.S.,CDP, Director of Professional and Community Education, Care Dimensions.
Program meets the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing at 244 CMR 5.00 for 1.5 contact hours.
This program has been approved for 1.5 Social Work Continuing Education hours for relicensure, in accordance with 258 CMR. Collaborative of NASW and the Boston College and Simmons Schools of Social Work Authorization Number D 81425-2.
