Nursing Supervisor Part Time 32 hours Monday-Thursday 3-11pm
Responsibilities: - Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the impact of disability upon an individual's, as well as families' physical, emotional, social, economic, and vocational status, taking into consideration age-related issues, and developmental levels over the life span (i.e., the adolescents' need to develop their own identity and cope with life changes; and the geriatrics' need to maintain their integrity and independence and adjust to the physiological aspects of aging), and meets competency requirements for the population served (adolescent through geriatric), as applicable to the job description. - Follows facility procedures related to control of equipment and supplies within the unit. Assures that work assignment areas are clean and equipment and supplies are stored before leaving care area on breaks and at end of shift. - Consistently works cooperatively with administration, all facility personnel, physicians, community agencies, residents, families and consultants. - Assumes accountability for data contained in the personnel manual. - May perform any and all staff nurse duties as necessary. - Interprets existing polices and procedures to professional and non-professional nursing personnel. - Follows established standards of nursing practice and implements facility policies and procedures. - Maintains knowledge and assures compliance with state and federal laws, rules and regulations. - Regularly reviews service on the unit for compliance with all State, Federal and JCAHO standards and regulations and immediately reports all irregularities to the Director of Nursing.
Prerequisites: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Current licensure in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse. - Minimum of three (3) years recent clinical experience preferably in Medical-Surgical, Gerontological or Rehabilitative Nursing. - Knowledge of Geriatric Nursing required. - Minimum of three (3) years Charge Nurse experience. - Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support in accordance with American Heart Association or American Red Cross standards required. - Knowledge of growth and development across the life span required.
Safety Attendant/Escort Per Diem
Responsibilities: - Under the supervision of the nurse caring for the patient, remains with and continuously observes assigned patient/s. - When not observing patient, escorts family and visitors on and off unit. - During constant observations, remains alert and in visual contact with the patient/s at all times, including times when the patient is/are bathing or toileting. - Adheres to patient care plan as directed by the Registered Nurse. - Reports observed patient behaviors to the nurse; reports any sudden change in behavior, suicidal attempts, gestures or threats immediately. Documents on checklist as assigned by Registered Nurse. - Accompanies the patient/s at arms’ length when escorting the patient/s outside his/her assigned room. - Assists the patient/s in daily activities as directed by the Registered Nurse. - Assures that the patient/s has/have no access to any potentially dangerous objects. - Assists nurse in restraining the patient/s, removing restraints, reapplying restraints, exercising patient, turning the patient/s and circulation checks. - Responds appropriately to events where their assigned patient/s is/are out of control or exhibiting inappropriate behavior. - Escorts visitors and families on and off units to from lobby.
Prerequisites: - High School Diploma or GED, with some advanced training or education preferred. - Able to read, write and speak English. - Prior experience performing patient care preferred. - Current CPR upon hire or within 90 days of hire. - Ability to follow directions, coordinate a variety of responsibilities and receive supervision from several sources. - Good organization and communication skills. - Knowledge of the growth and development across the life span.
Diet Aide Part Time
Responsibilities: - Set up and prepare food for patients and/or employees.
Prerequisites: - Must have basic math skills and ability to calculate numbers. - Must have the ability to communicate routine information.
Occupational Therapists Full Time (Inpatient) Per Diem (Inpatient)
Responsibilities: - Assess and implement appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis and status and in accordance of the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics. - Complete documentation (e.g., initial evaluation, daily flow sheets, weekly progress notes, discharge summaries and statistics) on a timely basis. - Completes letters of justification for durable medical equipment. - Delegate appropriate duties to certified occupational therapy assistants, aides and supportive personnel. - Coordinate and organize a full treatment caseload. - Attends and reports at rehabilitation team conferences (RTC), treating team conferences (TTC) and family team conferences FTC. - Seek to provide or enhance staff, patient and family education through continuing education courses/seminars and review of current relevant literature.
Prerequisites: - Bachelor's or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy from an ATOA-accredited program. - Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professional, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. - Current Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant.
Speech Language Pathologist - Inpatient Per Diem
Responsibilities: - Provides individualized patient evaluation, documentation, treatment planning, treatment implementation and goal determination under the direction of a physician and according to the Communication Disorders Code of Ethics. - Seek and supply interdisciplinary information pertinent to patient progress through communication with other disciplines via rehabilitation team meetings, family/patient team meetings, rounds and the medical record, assuring coordination of therapy in following the philosophy of team concepts. - Timely patient documentation, record keeping of attendance, charges and statistics according to established guidelines. - Coordinate and organize a full treatment caseload. - Ensure safety/maintenance of equipment and work areas.
Prerequisites: - MS or M.Ed. in communication disorders from an ASHA-accredited program. Certificate of Clinical Competence or application for the same. - Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professionals, Commonwealth of Massachusetts or application for the same. - Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant. - ASHA and state chapter of ASHA membership preferred. - Requires knowledge, experience and competency in dealing with patients in adult rehabilitation and/or geriatric rehabilitation. - Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
Senior Nursing Assistant Full Time Part Time 11-7 Per Diem, All Shifts
Responsibilities: - Assist licensed nursing personnel by performing patient care according to hospital, federal and state regulations. - Assist patients with daily activities of daily living specific to culture, age and developmental level. - Perform tasks/tests delegated by the registered nurse and reports/records data as needed. - Perform advanced skills delegated by the registered nurse as deemed competent, reports/records data as needed. - Continuously monitors/observes patients to assure needs are met in a timely manner. - Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of patients and unusual incidents. - Provides 1:1 supervision of patients at risk for injury. - Can initiate CPR measures when indicated. Recognizes and promptly reports life threatening situations. - Respects patient/family privacy and maintains confidentiality. - Maintains professional relationships and communicates effectively with patients and their families appropriate to their age and developmental level. - Assists with patient admissions and discharges by setting up and clearing patient rooms. - Assists patients with handling of clothing and other personal property throughout their hospital stay.
Prerequisites: - Minimum Education:High School Diploma or GED - Able to read, write and speak English - May be a graduate of an accredited RN or LPN School of Nursing. - BLS Certification of Adult, Child and Infant. - Two (2) years minimum experience as a C.N.A. in tertiary or acute Rehab setting. - Provide documentation of prior experience performing advanced skills. - Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
Respiratory Therapist Full Time, 1st Shift
Responsibilities: - To provide respiratory care services as ordered by the physician. - To assist in achieving and maintaining a maximum level of respiratory system function by providing appropriate respiratory care services and related education to adolescent through geriatric patient and families.
Prerequisites: - BS, AS, or Certified in Respiratory - Current Licensure by the Division of Registration, Board of Respiratory Care Commonweatlh of Massachusetts. - Certification of BLS of Adult, Child and infant.
RN Per Diem, All Shifts
Responsibilities: - Coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.
Prerequisites: - Graduate from an accredited registered nursing associates degree program required - Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts - Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan - Successful completion of Pharmacology exam - Current BLS certification
Physical Therapist Full Time Per Diem (Inpatient) Responsibilities: - Provide individualized evaluation, documentation of findings and progress, comprehensive planning and implementation of treatment plan, patient/family education and determination of rehabilitation and patient goals under the direction of a physician. Prerequisites: - Bachelor of Science/Masters of Science degree in physical therapy from an APTA accredited college or university - Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professionals, Commonwealth of Massachusetts or application for the same. - APTA in Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire Chapter of APTA membership preferred - Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant - Demonstrated pursuit on continuing education courses relative to the field of physical therapy - Knowledge, experience and competency in dealing with adult rehabilitation and geriatric age group - Knowledge of growth and development across the life span
